K Rajeshwar’s Namitha- Srikanth Indiravizha is a rip off of Barry Levinson’s Michael Douglas- Demi Moore classic Disclosure is progressing as per schedule and will hit the screens by mid of July. Sexual harassment is the theme, but here it is the man who is harassed by his new female boss. Indravizha is being directed by Director Rajeshwar. He had earlier done the most popular film like Amaran and Kovilpatti Veerlakshmi. This film has Srikanth in the lead. The tantalizing Maalavika was approached to do the lead role, but she refused on the grounds that she was pregnant.
Under these circumstances based on the recommendations of Srikanth, Swarnamalya was approached to do the role who in turn readily agreed. The sudden demise of Raghuvaran also came as a shock to the director since he was supposed to don an important role. Naseer is now doing this role.
Malavika who had opted out of the film Indra Vizha on account of her pregnancy has taken over by popular ‘item number’ girl Rahasiya. Indira Vizha features Srikanth, Namitha in the lead roles. The movie went on floors recently. Many others, including Swarnamalya, were considered for the role, but Rahasiya has finally become the one to bag it.
Director Rajeshwar is now shooting for the movie in the city. There’s a lot of scope to perform and Rahasiya had said no to just item numbers in movies then. She is donning the role of an investigating journalist.
Indiravizha is progressing as per schedule and will hit the screens by mid of July. Sexual harassment is the theme, but here it is the man who is harassed by his new female boss. Indravizha means celebration. It is about a girl who breaks the traditions to achieve her aim. Namitha plays the role. This is the story of one such girl who does not shy away from breaking the age-old customs to succeed in life. Srikanth fit the bill of a good-looking youngster for the hero’s role that of a creative head of a television channel. He falls in love with this girl.
But he has a past and that starts all the problems. This is the crux of the story. Hemamalini, the latest to hit Kollywood shores is paired opposite Srikanth in K Rajeshwar’s ‘Indiravizha’. The girl is all excited on her debut which also marks the return of Rajeshwar after a long hiatus. ANKK Movies helmed by Ashok Gotwani has roped in the much successful filmmaker K. Rajeshwar to wield the megaphone for one of its three projects in Tamil, Indravizha. Rajeshwar had earlier given hits such as Avan Appadidhan, Kadalora Kavithai, and Meedum Oru Kathal Kathai.
His last release was Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi starring Simran. The unit had been to Malayasia to film some key portions before completing a schedule in Chennai.Nasser replaces Raghuvaran in the cast list. Earlier there was a strong rumor that Mu Ka Muthu, the elder son of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, may do the role of Raghuvaran. Muthu, who had acted in films like Pillayo Pillai, Pookari and Samayalkaran in 1970s, was also a singer. However, his career was a short- lived one following his addiction to a few bad habits and health ailments.
Srikanth who so far has been taking up certain commercial movies was feeling that it was all a matter of cliché that he has following. But, the actor was more astonished by the narration of script by Rajeshwar. Well, this goes more for Namitha for this would be a great benchmark in her career. As known to everybody, she has no ability to take up and perform good roles. Most of the films were featuring her with close up shots of her body, but though this film will feature the same aspects, it will be in a different dimension. The reason is that of her different character of negative role.
Rajeshwar who had churned out the best films in Kollywood is set to release his forthcoming film ‘Indiravizha’ shortly. Yesterday evening, audio for the film was launched at Four Frames Preview Theatre where the entire cast and crew including Vivek, Nasser, Y.G Mahendran, music director Yatish, cameramen Alex along with the special guests Balu Mahendra and Vairamuthu.
Since, the film is based on a woman seducing and blackmailing the protagonist many sources have been bounded to conclusion that it’s a remake of Hollywood Movie Disclosure that was based on a novel. However, Director Rajeshwar denies the buzzes saying that though it may sound to be similar there coincidentally, I haven’t copycatted
